Programme Steering Committee

The Programme Steering Committee (PSC) is established to guide the project implementation and monitor the progress of the activities implemented. The PSC, established jointly by the EC and the GOI for the implementation of APSF, with regards to the Component Study Centres, constitutes: representatives from Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU), European Commission Delegation in India and Bhutan (ECD), and the Team Leader. The Committee will meet every six months. Based on the periodical reports of the Technical Assitance Team, the PSC will be in charge of identifying the necessary adjustments during the project implementation, will ensure the exchange of information and updates on EU India Study component developments and provide liaison between all stakeholders in order to address any issue promptly that may require urgent consultation, discuss opportunities and prevent weaknesses. The PSC will monitor consistency with the work plans and may give recommendations and advice to facilitate the overall implementation. The PSC will be co-chaired by the EC and the GOI representatives.

First Meeting of the Programme Steering Committee meeting was held on the 17th November 2009.

The second meeting of the Programme Steering committee was held on the 14th May 2010.

Third meeting of the Programme Steering Committee was held on the 23rd November 2010.

Fourth meeting of the Programme Steering Committee was held on the 13th May 2011.
